96 Secondary School “Lev N. Tolstoy”

On the eve of one of the most Bulgarian holidays – May 24 (the day of the Slavonic script), at 96 Secondary School “Lev N. Tolstoy”, we and students are painting the walls of the transformer station in the courtyard of the school. Students from 5th to 8th grade were studying the embroidery and, together with the school faculty, decided the bins in the yard to be painted in yellow, green and red – to attract attention with their color. It was decided for the walls of the transformer station to be turned into a gallery space and decorated with Bulgarian embroidery. It was hard to make a choice. The projects were 14. But in the end we decided on a few elements to be repeated in a different color range. On the small door – painters were drawn to have a mood in the composition. All the students posed happily in front of their creation, and in the end they also received certificates for their participation.

“The wall grabs the attention right away. It is located at one of the entrances of the school, and every day it will welcome us and sends us away with its vivid colors,” one of the participants said.

The project is funded under the “Culture 2018” Program of Sofia Municipality. Particiants: children, youth and teacher of painting. Also: young painters what we have being worked since 2014 and volunteers of European program “Erasmus+”
